American Idol's Mandisa Got Something to be Thankful for!
I first heard Mandisa sing on Tobymac's Lose My Soul and I was impressed. I dont know her that well and her songs are just a blur in my memory but i know one thing and that is this girl is here to stay.
On 1cubed she says:
“Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that my debut cd would garner a Grammy nomination. I have all of the cds nominated in the same category as I, and absolutely love each of them. To be considered in the same crowd is very humbling for me. I know we hear it all the time, but it truly IS an honor just to be nominated.”
I am happy for her and I wish her success in all her enndeavours

Introducing TY Bello...The Face Of Nigerian Gospel Music
You remember TY Bello...the lady from gospel group, KUSH. I used to call her the TBOZ of KUSH 'cause of her voice. Anyways TY Bello is back...let me rephrase that came back with a new gospel album titled 'Greenland' and the album is slammin'
It all began on one sunday, I went to House On The Rock that day and service was over and as i was leaving the building I heard a wonderful song blaring from the speakers(TY Bello attends House On The Rock). Being a music lover, I decide to check out the song and Its TY Bello's Greenland. I was tripped so I bought the album.
What struck me about the album was that it proved to the world that there is till hope for Nigerian Gospel Music. The Nigerian Gospel Music scene has seen a whole lot of lazy artist who claim they are out to spread the gospel when all they do is deliver empty lyrics to a dying world who need to know the real truth.
The album is unbelievable with songs like Freedom, Funmise, Supernatural featuring the talented MOSA, Atoned, The Dance, Ekundayo featuring our very own Olufunmi and the popular Greenland.
I feel you should go get your copy if you haven't believe me you have nothing to lose.
Let me leave you with nthe lyrics to her hit song 'Greenland'
Green Land (featuring Joseph Company)
Written by: TY Bello
Lead Vocals: TY Bello
BGV: TY Bello and Joseph Company
Vocal Arrangements by: MOSA and TY Bello
Electric Guitar: Mike Osadolo
Verse 1
stand in the rain
as the clouds go grey
the thunder roars and the earth sings
the season's just beginning
the sunlight it hides as the clouds make way
for the pouring of my blessings
i will not be afraid
pre-chorus
i see it now / i understand / i knowso i embrace it
dance in the rain it's for my seeds to grow
for every prayer and every seed i've sown
the Lord of the harvest knows
i'm reaping back a hundred fold
chorus
the land is green - it's greenooooh
the land is green - it's greencan't you see?
the harvest is ready‘cuz the Lord of the harvest told me so
it's green - it's green for meit's green - it's green for me
Verse 2
standing alone can be a heavy load
but my vows i won't be breaking
though my heart is aching
i got a word and i won't let go
it's Your will i'm seeking
so i keep on believing
pre-chorus
i see it now / i understand / i know
so i embrace it dance once again it's time for me to grow
for every prayer and every tear i've sown
the Lord of the harvest knows
i'm reaping joy a hundred fold
chorus
bridge
i thought it was over
thought You were done with me
but we're just beginning oh my life is a journey
i will walk with You
i will go where You want me to yes i will go
chorus 2
the land is green - it's greenooooh
the land is green - it's greencan't you see?repeat 3 xs
the harvest is ready ‘cuz He told me so

The Man of 2007: Toby McKeehan AKA Tobymac
"Man I'm not gonna let these material things get in my way ya'll"
"I'm trying to get somewhere"
"I'm trying to get somewhere that's real and pure and true and eternal"
"Toby can you go with your boy?"
"Let's go"
Help me to stay that way through all life’s demands
‘Cause they chip and they nag and they pull at me
And every little thing I make up my mind to be
Like I’m gonna be a daddy whose in the mix
And I’m gonna be a husband who stays legit
And I pray that I’m an artist who rises above
the road that is wide and filled with self love
Everything that I see draws me
Though it’s only in You that I can truly see
that its a feast for the eyes - a low blow to purpose
And I’m a little kid at a three ring circus
I don’t want to gain the whole world and lose my soul
Don’t wanna walk away let me hear the people say
(I like that there)
Don't wanna walk away let me hear the people say
"Mr. Franklin, step up to the mic sir."
"Check it out."
But they don't know that who you are is not what you do
True, we get it twisted when we peak at the charts
Yo before we part from the start where’s your heart?
You a pimp, hustler?
Tell me what’s your title
America has no more stars now we call them idols
You sit idle
While we teach prosperity
The first thing to prosper should be inside of me
We’re free!
Not because of 22’s on the range
But Christ came in range we said yes now we changed
Not the same even though I made a fall
Since I got that call no more Saul now I’m Paul
"Yup"
Don’t wanna walk away (I like this!) let me hear the people say
I don't want to gain the whole world and lose my soul
Don't wanna walk away let me hear the people say
Don't wanna walk away, walk away, walk away
"Mandisa come on!"
De-sensitizing me from living in light of eternity, eternity
(Watch me now)
How do I sense the tide that’s rising?
(The tide is rising ya'll)
It’s hypnotizing me from living in light of eternity, tell me
How do I sense the tide that’s rising?
De-sensitizing me (It's makin' me drown) from living in light
Livin' in light of eternity
We're relyin' on you
All eyes are on you Lord
All eyes are on you
All eyes are on you Jesus
I don't wanna gain the whole world and loose my soul
Light a candle ya'll!
Lift it high ya'll, come on!
"No prophit in gainin' the whole word and loose your soul, Yes sir"
I don't wanna gain the whole world and loose my soul
"Every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess"
This is my honesty, father won't you cover me.
"Come on!"
I don't wanna gain the whole world and loose my soul
"Lift 'em up ya'll, left'em up!"
Don't wanna walk away, and all His people say
I don't wanna gain the whole world, and loose my soul
No I, don't wanna loose, I don't wanna loose my soul.
"Come on!"
By the things of this world that fight for our love
(Yes Lord) and our passion (Yes Lord)
As our eyes are open wide and on you (Talk to 'em)
Grant us the privelage of your world view
And my your kingdom be
What wakes us up, and lays us down
Hallelujah, hallelujah
(No, don't let me loose my soul)

LISA KIMMEY IS A WINANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I can't hear from you,
Back To School: Update on my life
I dont know how I feel right now. I should be happy but i'm not. I should want to go home but I dont. It's all very confusing but what can I do. Exams start on the 14th and I am far from ready. All I need now is God's favor and grace.
Right now, I am writing a book. It's in my Friends Forever Series and is my first book in the series. It is titled "A Touch From Heaven". It's about a gay Nigerian teenager and his promiscious best friend and how God brings healing to a wounded soul. It was inspired by Kemi's Journal and Pastor Paul Adefarasin's christmas message. I am hoping it gets published by Tyndale, Thomas Nelson, Multonomah or Zondervan. I'm dreaming right? Well that is what i want.
I'm currently reading Pastor Paul's book "Change Your World: A Call To A Performing Generation". The book is tight and i'm learning a whole lot from it. Tobymac's Portable Sounds and Welcome To Diverse City are the two music albums on my playlist...oh I forgot TY Bello's Greenland. I've not really seen any new movies lately and Juanita Bynum and my spiritual life has been top on my prayer list.
Well 2008 had better be a good year. all this plans I have and all the pain that came with last year. I hope and pray that my delivarance and healing will come with this year. I am tired of the way my life is and I want to finally understand why God has let all these things happen..
Well, I've got so much to say but so little time...But...I'll be right back!
Trotcha!
